As it is her custom and in her nature to allow the love of Christ to flow from her hands to the people, Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa has put smiles on the faces of hundreds of elderly women and widows as she made it possible for them to busk in the glory of motherhood with the rest of the women worldwide as mothers were being celebrated.
Over the years, as a token of her love, compassion and respect for the elderly mothers, Ruth Makandiwa has celebrated Mothers’ Day in a very special way. She shares the love of God with hundreds of elderly women and widows through gifts and food hampers.
During one of the handover ceremonies in May 2015, Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa said,
“As a ministry; UFIC, we have found favor from God, and even as a department; Agape Family Care,” and she added, “In our department; Agape Family Care, we have beloved mothers whom God gave to us. They take care of us. I believe they are the ones that look after us…they receive our gifts and that is more the reason why God blesses us. So rightfully, they look after us.”
During that ceremony, Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa gave each of the 350 elderly women a beautiful, cozy blanket and a pair of shoes to cuddle and keep them warm from the unforgiving low temperatures of winter. Also, in 2014; Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa presented a gift to each of the elderly women in the form of beautiful tennis shoes and a cuddly, fluffy blanket.
Recently in May 2018, Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa celebrated Mothers Day with 220 widows and elderly women in Mt Darwin. Each of the elderly women received a 25 kg sack of maize, a pair of tennis shoes and a blanket.
