Family Music's Live Recording Leaves Masses Crying For More

THE UNITED FAMILY INTERNATIONAL CHURCH’s Choir; Family Music recorded live its latest production on the 31st of March 2019 at the UFIC Basilica in Chitungwiza and left the masses crying for more.


The Live recording was part of the 2-day music festival which was hosted by Family Music at the UFIC Chitungwiza Basilica which ran with the theme; “Creating Space for Musical Creativity”. Prophet Emmanuel and Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa were also part of the audience during the live recording.


With over 400 members performing on the stage, the UFIC choir displayed creativity in music and worship in a colorful presentation to thousands of UFIC members who were in attendance. Clad in purple and in gold robes, the UFIC choir delivered a musical offering which was greatly received by the people as the audience, together with the choir, praised God in song and dance.


A compilation of 13 songs, the album featured different genres which gave the audience a fine blend of praise and worship. Some of the musicians that performed on the day are Psalmist Hubert C, Minister Michael Mahendere, Ezekiel Paul Tapiwa Masara. All the songs created a irresistible atmosphere of praise and worship which ushered people into the presence of God. The songs carried powerful declarations and spirit-filled lyricism which were in season and moved the audience, with as one of the songs which were performed by Thulani Dete titled "Mwari WeBheteri" (God of Bethel).


“On this production we are mainly focusing on praise songs because our previous production was mainly centered on worship,” Pastor Hubert Chigumira the UFIC Choir Leader said.


“This time around we are planning to take this project everywhere and we can’t wait to finish it up and bring it out to the gospel music market.” he added.


Pastor Chigumira also highlighted that they intend to reach a wide range of listeners with their music. He added that once the project is out, Family Music is planning to do a national tour and they are looking forward to releasing the album in the next few weeks.


Family Music hosted a two-day festival at the UFIC Basilica in Chitungwiza. The festival began on the 30th of March with an Inter-Branch and Zone Choir Competition. the competition had 16 choirs competing; 12 choirs from UFIC branches all over Zimbabwe and 4 choirs from UFIC zones in Harare. Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa presented the awards to the choirs that won in the various categories of the competition.
