Moments that bring smiles upon people’s faces always serve as an anchor of hope even in the darkest of days; hope in the form a reminder that despite what they may be going through, God still loves them.
0n the 24th of September 2021, Ruth Emmanuel-Makandiwa took it upon herself to personally share such an inspiring moment of restoration of hope and love with a special group of the elderly, widows and the less privileged.
Part of this group were 10 members from the Deaf Community who are also part of the individuals that receive support and livelihood sustenance from Agape Family Care. Also present was one of Agape Family Care’s oldest beneficiaries; Gogo Chari who is a nonagenarian (99 years old).
For Ruth Emmanuel-Makandiwa, seeing vulnerable and less privileged people trade their tears for smiles and the broken down beaming with hope, is a personal assignment that she holds dearly to her heart; a passion purely inspired by the love of God.
And true to this; this special group of people had a memorable day where they got experience the unconditional love of God through the hands of the Woman of God as she took some time to talk with the people and also listen to their stories.
Each beneficiary received a grocery hamper from Ruth Emmanuel Makandiwa, through AFC that comprised of mealie meal, juice, cooking oil, rice, sugar, flour, laundry soap, bathing soap, sugar beans and tea bags. With joy and happiness, the beneficiaries gladly received their hampers.
With many still recovering from the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, this donation from Ruth Emmanuel Makandiwa will help these beneficiaries and their families to have food on the table and most importantly, a reassurance that they are loved by God.
